Citing after www.8a.nu – Little Eden (as it is called) is located some 35min walk or 5 min with boat from Vathy. It’s in the shade after noot and currently there are some 25 bolted routes, graded 6a to 7b. Of course due to the COVID-19 emergency, there is no climbing activity in Kalmymnos at the moment, but we all hope it will be gone soon and things will get back […]

As another climbing season on Kalymnos is coming to a close, with hundreds (thousands?) of sattisfied climbers finishing their well-deserved holidays, few of them reflect on a modern history of the place. So let it be known that it has been a round 20 years since Kalymnos had been heard of internationally and large-scale climbing begun! As Aris Theodoropoulos writes in his guidebooks, first routes were actually opened in 1997 […]

In general it used to be an average of 20€ per room per night, whereas now it tends to be closer to 25€. Therefore we will be updating price information on this page, to give more precise estimation of what to expect. This will be done by sending […]

Sad news have recently reached the climbing community. From 15th Sept. 2016 Ryanair has indefinitely suspended all flights to Kos. That of course makes direct flight to Kos far more complicated that it used to be. The case is not lost, however, and there are still other ways to get to Kalymnos (see our “Getting Here” section). But as this used to be the most convenient mean of travel for […]
